The Juno audit browser
If you found JunoAudit in your server logs: that was Juno, a website audit for small businesses. Here is what it does.
When it visits
Only when someone asks Juno to audit a website. There is no crawling in the background, no indexing and no scheduled revisits.
What it does
- It opens the requested page in a normal browser, the way a visitor would, and looks at up to 15 public pages of the same site.
- It waits at least 1 second between requests to your site.
- It never submits forms, accepts cookie banners, buys, books, signs in or clicks anything else with a side effect.
robots.txt
Juno reads your robots.txt before the first page. It follows the rules for the JunoAudit token and otherwise the * group, honours Crawl-delay and does not audit pages it is asked not to visit. To keep Juno out entirely:
User-agent: JunoAudit
Disallow: /Contact
